Miscreants stabbed and injured Ripon Chakrabarty, 50, a teacher of Madaripur Government Nazimuddin College.

The incident took place at the master colony adjacent to the college on Wednesday afternoon.

He is a teacher of math of the college. Ripon was admitted to Barisal Medical College Hospital.

Locals held one in connection with the incident and handed over to police.

Superintendent of police of Madaripur Sarwar Hossain said three youths pressed the calling bell of the rented house of the teacher at master colony. When he opened the door, the miscreants stabbed him indiscriminately. When the teacher cried for help, the miscreants tried to flee the scene. The locals held one and the rest two fled the scene.
