Introducing Myself

Introducing myself to an unknown person is a social courtesy. We can introduce ourselves to others by following manners of introduction. In our text, Andy and Sima are introduced to each other by Tamal. The utility of introducing ourselves is very great. We can show our courtesy and politeness through this. Sima introduces herself to a foreigner called Mr. Smith or Andy to chat in English. Courtesy or gentility is necessary for introducing ourselves.

A Book Fair

Book are our great companion. A book fair books are sold and bought. In our text,Andy is going to the book fair. Tamal will join him in is a place where an hour. They will enjoy together. In a book fair different types of books are displayed for selling and buying. A book fair is necessary because it helps us enrich our knowledge. A book fair is a fair specially arranged for displaying and selling books. It creates interest for books amongst the people of every walk of life. In different places book fair are arranged on different occasions. The largest book fair in our country is held on the premises of Bangla Academy on the occasion of 21st February. Besides tastefully decorated bookstalls, there are also food courts in the fair. Customers and visitors can have refreshment in them and remove fatigue. The entire atmosphere of the fair wears a festive look. All sorts of books such as fictions, novels, dramas, poetry and children's books are available in the fair. Books on medical science, engineering, politics, history, general knowledge, philosophy etc. are also displayed and sold in the fair. Book-lovers and readers come to the fair to buy books. They buy books specially to present their dear ones and for themselves. In a book fair books are generally sold on discount and people buy more books. Some writers also visit the fair regularly. Seminars and cultural programmes are also held. Books bear the testimony of refined taste. They create curiosity and and interest in us for reading more and more books. Now book fairs are gaining popularity and they promote the publication of books and spread education and knowledge among people in general.
