The authorities of Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh organised a cultural programme at the university’s Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin Auditorium on Tuesday.
The event, titled Fire Cholo Matir Tane, was part of the celebrations for the graduates following the 7th convocation of the university, and featured talks, music, dance, poetry recitation and a theatre production.
The performers were all students and teachers of different departments. In addition, members of the university unit of Udhichi Shilphi Gosthi performed in the programme.
BAU vice-chancellor professor Dr Md Ali Akbar was present as chief guest at the event while professor Dr Md Abul Hossain, chairman of the cultural sub-committee, presided over it. Among others, professor Dr Jashim Uddhin Khan and student affairs advisor professor Dr Shaiful Islam were also present.
In the convocation, a total of 4909 graduates from different disciplines received certificates.
