The 34th BCS Non-Cadre Forum on Saturday staged a demonstration on Saturday in city's Shahbagh intersection demanding filling up the 672 vacant posts from those who passed the 34th BCS exam.

Sources said, the BCS agitators staged a sit-in around 11am putting barricade on the intersection.

Vehicular movement remain suspended in the area due to demonstration.

Later, police charged baton on the agitators to disperse them.

The law enforcers also arrested five agitators from the spot, said Shahbagh Police Station OC Abu Bakar Siddik.
