Country's one of the best private universities 'Daffodil International University' organised a two-day quality building training programme for its faculty members.

A total of 55 faculty members of the university are participating in the program.

The session titled ‘Pedagogy and Assessment Bloom’s Taxonomy’ was organised by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of the university to ensure quality education in higher level.

University Grants Commission of Bangladesh’s quality assurance unit head Mesbahuddin Ahmed inaugurated the programme as chief guest on Sunday at DIU campus.
Among others, DIU vice-chancellor Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, quality assurance specialists M Abul Kashem, Voravate Chonlasin and Narumon Wangnai were present as special guest.

On Sunday, a total of three input sessions namely: Outcome-Based Learning Techniques; Contents and strategies in preparing Self-Assessment Reports: Case Studies of universities in Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, and Techniques and tools for peer evaluation were held, a DIU press release said.

The resource persons from Asian Institute of Technology of Thailand discussed on lesson planning; student-centred methods, evaluation of learning, study reports on self assessment of universities of various countries, peer review techniques and other related issues.

At the concluding day, the resource persons are schedule to discuss on different issues like effective teaching-learning, lesson plan, learning diary, need of research and the others.
