Police recovered the hanging bodies of a young couple from their house at Ibrahimpur in Nabinagar upazila on Thursday morning.

The dead were identified as Mitun Pal, 28, and his wife Beauty, 20.

Local people said the couple, married for eight months, went to sleep on Wednesday night as usual.

Failing to get their response the next morning, family members called neighbours.

Breaking open the door of their room, local people found both of them hanging from the ceiling with a same piece of cloth.

On information, police rushed to the scene and recovered the bodies.

Nabinagar police OC (investigation) M Mejbah Uddin said the reason behind the deaths would be revealed after autopsy.
